LiftCare is an application for managing maintenance, repairs, and connecting elevator industry services, part of the Vietnam Elevator Association's digital elevator management ecosystem. The solution was developed by the Vietnam Elevator Association, in coordination with RnD Lam Anh Co., Ltd. for research and technology refinement.

In reality, at many enterprises, elevator records, contracts, maintenance schedules, on-site images, and repair histories are often stored in a fragmented manner. When needing to review a past task or error, managers and technicians must search through paper records, spreadsheets, or separate communication groups.

LiftCare was built to bring this information onto a single platform. Enterprises can plan maintenance and repairs; assign tasks and send project information to technicians. Technicians can review equipment history before arriving on site, perform the work, and update results, images, materials used, and technical recommendations.

After a task is completed, the management department can review the results, monitor items requiring further action, and generate reports for clients. The entire process is recorded for each elevator, creating a traceable maintenance and repair history when needed.

Through LiftCare, enterprises can easily manage which tasks have been completed, which are pending, and who performed them; while also minimizing information disruptions when there are changes in technicians or managers.

LiftCare's key differentiator is that the platform is not developed merely as a standalone management software. Previously, the Institute of Elevator Applied Technology had built and is currently refining the digital ecosystem of the Vietnam Elevator Association, which includes:

(1) Elevator ID: Manages records and history of each piece of equipment.

(2) Technician ID: Manages records of qualifications, training, and certifications.

(3) IoT System: Remote monitoring, alerts, and operational data analysis; Supports predictive maintenance and preventive repairs.

(4) Trading Floor: Connects demand for services, equipment, and materials.

According to the development roadmap, in the near future, LiftCare will integrate with other components of this digital ecosystem and will be expanded and promoted to enterprises, technicians, inspection organizations, investors, owners, and users.

He highly appreciated the cooperation between the Vietnam Elevator Association and RnD Lam Anh in solving specific challenges in elevator management and maintenance. The implementation process will face many difficulties; however, digitalizing management and maintenance is a trend promoted by many countries.

“Knowledge and research results need to be transformed into applicable products that create economic value and bring benefits to the community,” Mr. Nguyen Hai Duc emphasized.

Understanding processes, operating effectively

Sharing about the LiftCare project, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hanh - Director of the Institute of Elevator Applied Technology - emphasized that the digital elevator management platform is not merely a technology story, but first and foremost depends on a deep understanding of operational processes.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Hanh, system builders must have direct industry experience, understand the workflow, and know what technicians, enterprises, owners, and users need. Only when processes are built correctly can technology help organize activities more efficiently.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Doan Quyet Chien – Director of RnD Lam Anh Co., Ltd. – stated that LiftCare was developed by translating the actual operational requirements of the elevator industry into specific system functions.

According to Mr. Doan Quyet Chien, technology's role is to connect stages that are currently performed in isolation, enabling data to be updated, stored, and utilized consistently. The development process will continue to rely on real-world feedback to further tailor the platform to the operations of enterprises and technicians.

"In the near future, when LiftCare is integrated with the IoT system, enterprises and technicians can monitor elevator status remotely, receive alerts, and view abnormal data before arriving at the site." The Director of RnD Lam Anh shared and emphasized that through this, technicians can prepare appropriate plans, tools, and materials, helping to shorten resolution time; enterprises reduce dispatch costs and minimize elevator downtime.
