TCTM - A maintenance elevator worker was seriously injured after falling from the 5th floor to the bottom of an elevator shaft at a building on Ton That Thuyet Street, Hanoi. The victim was rescued by authorities and taken to the emergency room.

According to the Hanoi City Police, at approximately 3:10 PM on July 14, 2026, the Command Information Center of the Hanoi City Police received a report of a maintenance worker who had an accident, falling from the 5th floor to the bottom of the elevator shaft at building No. 9 Ton That Thuyet, Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi.

The victim was seriously injured and trapped at the bottom of a deep shaft in a cramped space, posing numerous dangers.

Immediately after receiving the report, one rescue vehicle, one fire engine, along with 12 officers and soldiers from the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 2 (Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department), and an ambulance quickly arrived at the scene.

The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police forces urgently deployed rescue measures, using specialized equipment to access and secure the victim. After 35 minutes, the authorities safely brought the victim out, provided timely first aid, and handed them over to medical personnel for emergency treatment.
