The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering and INTEC (Germany).
The focus of the cooperation program is the implementation of an elevator control solution based on the CANopen-Lift platform - an open communication protocol widely used in the European elevator industry. The event attracted significant attention from numerous businesses, engineers, and specialized visitors, especially in the context of the growing emphasis on standardization and enhancing domestic technological capabilities.
According to the cooperation agreement, INTEC will transfer European-standard CANopenLift-based elevator control solutions. The application of the CANopenLift platform will enable various devices within the elevator system, from control cabinets and inverters to peripheral equipment from different manufacturers, to communicate flexibly, synchronously, and be easily expandable.

Peter Zdun – CEO of INTEC GmbH
Sharing at the event, Mr. Peter Zdun - CEO of INTEC GmbH - said: "CANopenLift is not just a technical standard, but also a platform for building open, flexible, and highly integrable control systems. We expect that through cooperation with the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering, this technology will be deployed in a way that best suits the practical conditions in Vietnam."
According to the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering, cooperating with Germany, a country considered a leader in manufacturing technology, will open up significant opportunities for knowledge transfer, human resource training, and the gradual localization of a sustainable value chain in Vietnam's elevator industry.

Under the cooperation between the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering and the German industry, many European-standard elevator solutions were displayed and introduced to visitors.
At the exhibition area introducing the VILEA – INTEC elevator control solution, many visitors and businesses highly appreciated the CANopen-Lift elevator control solution for addressing system synchronization - one of the common challenges today.
Allowing devices to "communicate in a common language" is seen as a crucial factor in reducing dependence on a single supplier, while also facilitating system maintenance, upgrades, and expansion.

Many visitors, especially investors and operating units, highly value the elevator solution applying the CANopen-Lift standard for its effectiveness in solving the problem of replacing and repairing equipment in existing elevator systems.
INTEC GmbH is an engineering company headquartered in Germany, specializing in research and development of elevator control systems. Notably, the company's founders are also members who laid the groundwork for the CANopen-Lift initiative, contributing to standardizing communication protocols in the global elevator industry.
On the Vietnamese side, the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering will participate in the product development process, evaluating and adjusting technological solutions to suit domestic technical conditions, operating environments, and usage needs. With the advantage of understanding the local market, this unit plays a bridging role in transferring and applying technology into practice.

The cooperation between the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering and leading German enterprises is expected to open a new approach in technology transfer and elevator technical capacity in Vietnam.
In the context where Vietnam's elevator industry still heavily relies on imported systems, the cooperation between the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering and INTEC is expected not only to focus on technology transfer but also to aim for mastering control solutions, gradually localizing and developing a sustainable elevator technology ecosystem.
