Orona Group acquires German elevator company

EM - The European elevator market continues to be vibrant with M&A deals, the latest being the Orona Elevator Group's acquisition of the elevator company Aufzugsteam Hildebrandt & Geis in Germany. The deal demonstrates the expansion efforts and consolidation of position by this top 5 European elevator group.

Orona Elevator Group (Spain) has recently acquired Aufzugsteam Hildebrandt & Geis, an elevator company headquartered in Hofheim, Frankfurt (Germany). This marks Orona's second announced acquisition in the German market, following its successful takeover of AK Aufzüge in Rheinstetten in 2023.

Founded in 2001, Aufzugsteam Hildebrandt & Geis currently provides maintenance services for over 1,000 elevators in the Rhine-Main region. The company is led by Managing Director Markus Geis.

Orona is one of Europe's leading elevator groups, boasting impressive business results in 2024. The group's consolidated revenue reached €1.111 billion, a 10% increase compared to 2023, demonstrating stable growth amidst a highly competitive market.

EBITDA(*) reached €168 million, reflecting the company's high operational efficiency and strong cost control capabilities. In addition to prioritizing growth, Orona maintains significant investment in technological innovation and product development, allocating €18 million to R&D and new technologies in 2024. *(A financial metric representing a company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization).
