Fire at Ecohome 3 Apartment Building, Residents Escape via Stairway

Around 8:30 AM on February 6, 2026, a sudden fire broke out in an apartment on the 9th floor, Block C2, of the Ecohome 2 apartment complex (Dong Ngac Ward, Hanoi), causing panic among many residents who evacuated the dangerous area. Authorities quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.

According to witnesses at the scene, the fire erupted from the kitchen area of the apartment. The flames spread rapidly, accompanied by thick black smoke filling the interior space. Upon discovering the incident, residents quickly moved to the 1st floor and alerted the authorities.

Upon receiving the report, the Hanoi City Police Department of Fire Prevention, Fighting, Rescue, and Salvage dispatched multiple vehicles and dozens of officers and firefighters to the scene. They coordinated with the Dong Ngac Ward Police to carry out firefighting and search and rescue operations. After approximately 20 minutes, the fire was basically brought under control.

The incident caused no human casualties. The cause of the fire is being verified and clarified by the authorities.
