TÜV SÜD's Machinery Roadshow program will officially take place on November 23, 2026, at the Haus Algorithmus headquarters in Munich, Germany.
The program focuses on the implementation of the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, cybersecurity, functional safety, and the application of artificial intelligence. Other topics include the EU Cyber Resilience Act, simulation and digital twins, risk assessment, conformity assessment, humanoid robots, and manufacturer liability when software or AI assumes safety-related functions.
The event in Munich will kick off a series of international programs expected to expand to the US and Asia from 2027. Speakers come from Microsoft, Intel, the Technical University of Munich, along with technology, insurance, and inspection firms. The program is conducted entirely in English.
In the engineering and manufacturing industry, the Machinery Roadshow organized by TÜV SÜD is a traveling series of specialized seminars and exhibitions. This event connects manufacturers, operators, and regulatory agencies to update new machinery safety regulations, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation in the mechanical industry.
2. One Person Seriously Injured Under Elevator at Google Data Center
Recently, the Council Bluffs fire department discovered a 24-year-old man trapped under an elevator at a Google data center; the victim suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. Updated information from Google indicates the victim is currently recovering steadily.
Google confirmed the technician was injured while repairing a material lift at the site. The corporation stated it is coordinating with contractors and local authorities to investigate the incident.
3. China: Gansu Province Announces 5 Elevator Maintenance Violations
Within the framework of the 100-day peak campaign to review and address safety risks of special equipment, the market regulatory authority of Gansu Province announced five violations in elevator maintenance activities. The violations were detected through document inspections, surveillance cameras, and cross-checking of electronic maintenance data.
The cases include failure to fully perform maintenance items, creating records inconsistent with actual work, and signs of signature forgery; one enterprise in Tianshui was fined 75,000 yuan and had its illegal proceeds confiscated.

4. India: A Woman Dies While Stepping Out of a Moving Elevator
A 50-year-old woman died after becoming trapped between the cabin and the floor at an apartment building in Ongole city, Andhra Pradesh state, India. According to reports, the elevator suddenly descended while the door was still open, trapping the victim and causing serious injuries. Residents took the victim to the hospital, but she did not survive.
5. United Arab Emirates: Fine of Nearly USD 1,400 if Elevators Lack a Valid Maintenance Contract
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority warns that owners of buildings and commercial facilities could be fined 5,000 AED, equivalent to about USD 1,362, if they fail to maintain a valid elevator maintenance contract with an authority-approved enterprise.
This requirement applies to residential and commercial buildings. Individual, standalone houses are not within the scope of application. For buildings under construction, the requirement applies after the elevator has been installed and put into operation.
