EM – On the morning of October 14, 2025 (local time), the Interlift 2025 International Elevator Exhibition – the world’s leading trade fair for elevator technology – officially opened at the Messe Nürnberg Exhibition Center in Germany.

Established in 1991, Interlift has become a symbol of growth and international connection within the elevator sector. Held biennially for more than 30 years, the exhibition continues to expand in scale, quality, and global impact.

In 2023, the event attracted nearly 19,000 visitors from over 110 countries, underscoring its strong appeal among professionals, engineers, manufacturers, and organizations across the elevator field.

Taking place from October 14 to 17, 2025, Interlift is being held for the first time in Nürnberg, one of Germany’s largest and most modern exhibition centers, instead of its traditional location in Augsburg. According to the organizers, this move marks a significant milestone, providing larger exhibition spaces, improved infrastructure, and enhanced business opportunities for both exhibitors and international visitors.

The event brings together over 500 companies from 43 countries and territories, covering a total exhibition area of more than 50,000 square meters, reaffirming its position as a global meeting point for the elevator industry.

nterlift 2025 features participation from many of the world’s leading companies, including Fermator, Meiller, Montanari, Orona, and Wittur. Notably, about 75% of exhibitors are from outside Germany, highlighting the event’s global scale and influence.

Orona, one of Europe’s leading elevator manufacturers, attracted particular attention with its green elevator solutions, emphasizing energy efficiency, recycled materials, and intelligent operation systems — demonstrating the company’s strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Regarded as “the technological map” of the global elevator industry, Interlift 2025 showcases breakthrough innovations in control systems, safety devices, cabins, landing doors, ropes, etc and energy-saving technologies.

According to the organizers, the countries with the highest number of exhibitors include Germany, China, Italy, Turkey, India, Greece, the United Kingdom, and Spain — with Spain showing a notable increase compared to previous editions.

The exhibition’s key themes this year include cybersecurity, digitalization, sustainability, energy efficiency, and innovation in home elevator solutions. Many products and technologies unveiled at Interlift 2025 are expected to shape the industry’s development in the coming years.

In addition to complete elevator manufacturers, component suppliers continue to play a crucial role as the backbone of the global elevator supply chain. Hundreds of companies specializing in control systems, safety devices, mechanical components, and IoT solutions are present, showcasing the sector’s strong innovative capacity.

Alongside technology and engineering exhibits, the design and interior segment also stands out this year. Exhibitors introduce creative concepts such as guitar-shaped call panels, art-themed cabin walls, and adaptive lighting systems, reflecting the growing trend toward personalized and aesthetic elevator design.

Interlift 2025 also dedicates a special area to elevator industry publications from around the world. Featured titles include Elevator World, Lift Journal, Elevatori, and Vietnam Elevator Magazine, emphasizing the spirit of global information exchange and industry collaboration.

Another highlight of the exhibition is the VFA Forum, which continues to serve as a leading platform for professional dialogue. Over four days, the forum presents more than 40 expert lectures covering topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainable modernization, and international standards.

Vietnam Elevator Magazine will continue to report and update readers on key developments from Interlift 2025 – the premier event of the global elevator industry.
