For the 2025 edition, the symposium will span two days (September 24-25) at the Kettering Park Hotel in Northampton, promising in-depth discussions and announcements of new research. This year's presentation topics are diverse, ranging from artificial intelligence applications in elevator systems and machine learning for estimating building traffic flow, to practical studies such as elevator damage causes following major earthquakes in Turkey or cable wear.

With participation from scholars and experts from numerous countries (UK, US, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Switzerland, etc.), the Lift & Escalator Symposium 2025 promises to remain a leading scientific forum, bringing research knowledge closer to the global elevator industry's practical applications.

Interlift 2025 Exhibition - Nuremberg, Germany (October 14-17, 2025)

Established in 1991 and held biennially, the interlift Elevator Exhibition (Germany) has long been regarded as the "health barometer" of the global elevator industry. It is the world's largest platform for enterprises in the elevator and escalator sector.

Taking place from October 14-17, 2025, interlift will be hosted for the first time in Nuremberg instead of the traditional Augsburg. The event is expected to gather over 500 enterprises from 39 countries, including leading names like Fermator, Meiller, Montanari, Orona, Wittur, along with various international associations and organizations. Approximately 75% of exhibitors hail from across nations, underscoring the event's global nature.

The interlift exhibition has long been a major playground, attracting numerous prominent enterprises in the elevator and escalator industry, such as Orona, Wittur...

Interlift 2025 focuses on themes shaping the current elevator industry: cybersecurity, energy efficiency, sustainable development, digitalization, and innovation in home elevators.

A special highlight of this year's edition is the first-ever introduction of the "Elevating Robotics" theme, where research groups and enterprises demonstrate mobile robots supporting production and interacting directly with elevator systems. Concurrently, the VFA-Forum interlift will continue to deliver valuable presentations on AI, smart services, international standards, and new products.

Global Elevator Exhibition (GEE) - Milan, Italy (November 19-21, 2025)

The Global Elevator Exhibition (GEE) made its debut in 2023 in Milan, Italy, as part of the international construction technology exhibition series at Fiera Milano, organized by the Italian Electromechanical Construction Association (MIBA). In addition to GEE, the lineup includes MADE Expo (sustainable building solutions), Smart Building Expo (automation and technology integration for buildings), and Sicurezza (security and fire prevention).

According to data from the Italian Elevator Association (ANACAM), in 2022 alone, Italy's elevator industry generated 3.8 billion euros in revenue, employing 19,000 workers across more than 1,900 enterprises. With this foundation, organizing a large-scale event bringing together both Italian companies and international giants was a natural step—and GEE 2023 proved its necessity and appeal from the very first edition.

The inaugural event made a strong impression with hundreds of participating enterprises and discussion programs revolving around product innovation, European standards, and green transformation. Notably, GEE 2023 gathered 118 exhibitors from 13 countries including Italy, Turkey, China, France, South Korea, India, the US, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, the Netherlands, and Spain. About 25% of visitors came from abroad, demonstrating the event's global attraction.

Despite being newly organized, the GEE exhibition successfully drew attention and participation from numerous international elevator brands

Following that success, GEE 2025 returns for three days from November 19-21, 2025, continuing to serve as a connection point between manufacturers, distributors, and contractors. Positioned in the "heart of industrial Europe," GEE enables enterprises not only to promote products but also to seek cross-continental collaboration opportunities.

The spirit of August 19th and the aspiration for a powerful, prosperous nation

Autumn of 1945. On the morning of August 19th, the streets of Hanoi were covered with red flags bearing a golden star. From Hang Dao, Hang Ngang, Hang Duong streets and others... dense streams of people, holding banners and placards, some even carrying drums, gongs, and trumpets to cheer. Elderly people walking with canes beside young men, young women in white *ao dai* interspersed among self-defense teams wearing red armbands. The sound of drums and the shouts of "Long live independent Vietnam!" echoed. The atmosphere was as bustling as a great festival, but this was in fact a General Uprising to seize power for the people, to seize independence and freedom.
