EM - In an effort to ease difficulties faced by businesses following the issuance of Circular No. 13/2024/TT-BLDTBXH, which revokes the acceptance of test results from foreign laboratories, the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) has submitted an official dispatch to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Department of Employment, proposing the consideration and recognition of conformity assessment results, along with a compiled list of proposed internationally recognized certification/testing bodies.
EM - At a meeting organized by the Vietnam Elevator Association on July 2nd, 2025, a representative from the Department of Employment under the Ministry of Home Affairs provided direct responses to issues related to the recognition of conformity assessment results for elevators and safety components.
EM - On June 11th 2025, Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) submitted an official letter to Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, proposing a number of recommendations regarding Circular No. 13/2024/TT-BLDTBXH on the annulment of the recognition and use of test results from foreign testing laboratories. The letter highlighted the practical challenges encountered during implementation and proposed solutions to help alleviate difficulties faced by enterprises.
EM – Faced with the cost and time burdens, and the risk of “congestion” due to the new regulation on elevator testing, businesses have unanimously put forth a series of practical proposals in hope government agencies will listen and solve the issues in a timely manner.
The Elevator Training Center of the Vietnam Elevator Association is the first nationwide model for training and certifying elevator technicians, established through the cooperation between the Vietnam Elevator Association and Korea Elevator College, the world’s only institution specializing in training elevator engineering.
EM - The Elevator Training Center has been established by collaborating with the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) and Korea Lift College (KLC). This marks Vietnam’s first official vocational training model dedicated to elevators, specializing in training, testing, and granting certificates for industry professionals.
