With a population of more than 98 million people on a total area of more than 310,000 km2, Vietnam has a population density of 317 people/ km2. In which, 38% of the population lives in urban areas (by 2020) and is expected to increase to 60% by 2050. With the population growth rate and urbanization among the top in the world, the need to install elevators and escalators for office and apartment buildings are increasing in Vietnam.
According to statistics, the annual demand for elevators and escalators in Vietnam can reach more than 10,000 units. Along with economic growth, the increasing quality of life requires the quality, safety and application of modern technology of elevators and escalators to be higher to meet the needs of users.
In recent years, the Vietnamese Government has given priority to promoting infrastructure development with many key transport projects such as metro lines in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, railway stations, airports, ports, etc. opening a potential market for elevators, escalators and passenger conveyor systems combined with intelligent monitoring systems at projects.
