Signing cooperation agreement for college-level training specialized in elevators.

Member enterprises of the Vietnam Elevator Association participating in the signing ceremony include: Hanoi Electrical Appliances Joint Stock Company (Hanoel), Tri Duc Production and Investment Company Limited, Phuc Thanh Elevator Company Limited, and ATVIN Elevator Company Limited.

The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien - Vice Chairman and General Secretary of VNEA; Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh - Party Committee Secretary and Principal of HHT; Mr. Pham Dai Nghia - Head of the VNEA Member Development Committee, along with leaders of the elevator enterprises participating in the signing ceremony.

Enterprises participating from enrollment to recruitment

Under the cooperation agreement, HHT is responsible for enrollment, training in foundational knowledge and vocational skills, and managing classes. The elevator specialization program will be developed based on professional and enterprise-standard training programs. Accordingly, certain specialized elevator courses will be directly taught by the Elevator Training Center under the Institute of Applied Elevator Engineering.

Students participating in the training program will receive tuition support and priority recruitment within the member enterprise network of the Elevator Association after graduation, provided they meet the requirements.

Instead of recruiting students after graduation, enterprises participate from the enrollment stage, career orientation, organizing practical training, receiving interns, and evaluating learners. Students who meet the requirements upon graduation will be recruited and employed by the signing enterprises.

The tripartite cooperation model between the school, the association, and enterprises forms a linked chain from training providers to employers. The school provides foundational knowledge and vocational skills; VNEA supplements elevator industry expertise and connects resources; enterprises contribute job requirements and practical work environments to the training process.

This coordination is expected to help align training content with real-world practices, enabling students to define their career paths early and accumulate experience during their studies. Enterprises also become more proactive in recruiting human resources, thereby contributing to building a team of technicians with professional knowledge, practical skills, and safety awareness for the elevator industry.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien - General Secretary of the Vietnam Elevator Association - assessed that the program not only aims to meet the immediate recruitment needs of member enterprises but also seeks to attract learners to the elevator profession and encourage long-term commitment to the industry.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien, for the model to be effective, enterprises need to concretize their commitments by participating in curriculum development, providing tuition support, guiding practical training, and arranging employment. Besides the coordination between the school, the association, and enterprises, the choices and commitments of students and parents are also decisive factors in the program's outcomes.

Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh stated that the model of enterprises accompanying the school and learners from the enrollment stage has been implemented by HHT in several fields. With this program, students can gain early exposure to real working environments, participate in activities at enterprises, and have opportunities to earn income from their second year of study.

Emphasis on safety, procedures, and professional attitude

From an enterprise perspective, Mr. Pham Dai Nghia stated that the rapid growth of the elevator industry is increasing demand for technical labor, while the supply of specialized trained human resources remains insufficient. The direct participation of enterprises in the training process is expected to help students engage with job requirements earlier.

Mr. Thieu Dinh Luyen, Director of Tri Duc Production and Investment Company Limited, assessed that the cooperation model is essential and expressed gratitude to the School and the Association for listening to the concerns of enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises – those that often face greater difficulties in recruiting and training initial personnel.

Based on practical requirements, Ms. Doan Thi Nhai, Director of Phuc Thanh Elevator Company Limited, proposed that the program focus on three groups of content for elevator technicians: professional procedures and regulations; occupational safety; and professional attitude. According to Ms. Nhai, training closely aligned with real-world practices will help enterprises shorten the time needed for guidance, probation, and selecting suitable personnel.

Meanwhile, Mr. Pham Anh Dong, Strategy Director of ATVIN Elevator Company Limited, stated that the enterprise is facing recruitment difficulties because the elevator profession has not yet attracted much attention from workers, while income levels and career opportunities have not been fully communicated. ATVIN commits to participating in the program to supplement personnel for the enterprise and contribute to attracting technical workers to the industry.

At the program, HHT, VNEA, and the enterprises signed a cooperation agreement. This serves as a basis for the parties to continue implementing the next steps in attracting learners to the profession, conducting training, practical sessions, and job connections, aiming to narrow the gap between vocational training and the actual human resource needs of the elevator industry.
