Delegates attending the thematic panel discussion of the DESIGN&BUILD #02 event
The program brought together representatives from professional associations, architects, interior designers, investors, operators, contractors, and businesses providing materials, equipment, and solutions for construction projects.
Representing the Vietnam Interior Association (VNIA) at the event were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arch. Vu Hong Cuong – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Interior Association; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Interior Designer Ly Tuan Truong – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Interior Association; and Dr. Interior Designer Luu Viet Thang – Chief of Office of the Vietnam Interior Association.
Representatives of the Vietnam Elevator Association shared on the topic of Applied Art in Elevators, attracting the interest of attending guests.
At the seminar, Mr. Hoang Xuan Truong – representative of the Training Committee of the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) and LaPass Company – a unit operating in the field of creativity and applied art – presented the topic "Applied Art in Elevators".
The presentation suggested a way of perceiving elevators not merely as technical equipment serving circulation within a building, but also as an important transitional space within the overall architecture.
According to the representative of the Vietnam Elevator Association, through the introduction of art, materials, and visual language into design, elevator spaces can become an experiential touchpoint, contributing to conveying stories and enhancing the unique identity of a project.
The Vietnam Elevator Association partnered with LaPass to bring new perspectives on experiential design in elevator spaces.
This approach places elevators within a seamless relationship between people and architecture, interior design, rather than treating them as an independent technical category. Especially in commercial, entertainment, and service projects, where user experience is increasingly emphasized, elevators can directly participate in shaping perceptions of space.
The presentation by the representative of the Vietnam Elevator Association and LAPASS received attention from architects, designers, and business representatives attending the event. Many delegates and guests expressed interest in the approach of treating elevators as an artistic space capable of storytelling.
Bringing the topic of applied art in elevators into DESIGN&BUILD #02 also expanded the dialogue between the elevator industry and the architecture and interior design community. Through this, stakeholders had additional opportunities to exchange views on directions for combining functionality, technical requirements, aesthetic value, and user experience.

Alongside the content on elevators, Mr. Vo Van Hoang – Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Science and Technology (VISRAE) also shared knowledge and HVAC solutions for construction projects aimed at architects and designers.
The sharing emphasized that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems should not be regarded as technical items to be addressed after the architectural and interior design schemes have been completed. HVAC needs to be calculated and coordinated from the earliest stages of the design process to ensure harmony between functionality, comfort, air quality, energy efficiency, and the aesthetics of the project.
The sharings at the thematic seminar showed that in the new era of experience, enhancing user experience increasingly plays an important role, contributing to positioning identity and increasing the value of a project.
VNIA | DESIGN&BUILD #02 simultaneously expanded the dialogue between the fields of architecture, interior design, and elevators, suggesting directions for bringing art into equipment as part of a project's identity.
