The Ministry of Construction has issued Circular 03/2021/TT-BXD stipulating national standards on apartment buildings, including some additional requirements for elevators in apartment buildings. The Circular takes effect from July 5, 2021.
Elevators are specified in the category of machines, equipment, materials and substances with strict requirements on occupational safety and hygiene. Therefore, the inspection of the elevator before being put into use and periodically is important and mandatory.
The ADA is the Americans with Disabilities Act, which has been in place for 30 years, so there is little reason to defend buildings that don't comply with the regulations.
Recognizing the importance of elevator safety in the installation, maintenance as well as rescue, Vietnam Elevator Association cooperates with Gama Service – High-end technical unit of GamaLift organizes an elevator safety certification training program from November 2021.
