TCTM— To help businesses accurately and justifiably price elevator maintenance services and to allow building operation managers to allocate budgets more effectively, the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) has recently released a Cost Estimation Table for Elevator Maintenance. This table is based on TCCS 02:2024/VNEA regarding labour norms and Circular No. 11/2021/TT-BXD issued by the Ministry of Construction.
EM - In the latest Decree related to the implementation regulations of the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting, the fire-resistant structural components including fire-resistant doors and dividers of elevators have been removed from the list of fire protection equipment subject to inspection. Accordingly, these structural components will no longer require an Inspection Certificate issued by the Fire and Rescue Police Department.
EM – From the problem raised by the Ministry of Construction in the report, looking back at the elevator industry, there are many cases of design consultants choosing fireproof elevator doors with EI standards exceeding the requirements of the building, causing waste resource cost.
According to statistics of the elevator industry, the quality of elevator is decided according to the ratio of 50:50, of which 50% comes from the quality of equipment and products, and the remaining 50% comes from maintenance.
EM - “Fish or fishing rod” is an allegory with a profound philosophy about sustainable solutions instead of short-term, immediate things. In general, fish or fishing rods are essential for the development of businesses today. That is, support policies need to be constantly updated and changed to create the best environment for business operations, including the elevator industry.
EM – The population of the earth is growing, which means that the living density is getting denser and the direction of vertical urban development is imperative. This means that super high-rise buildings will appear more and more. But if there is an incident, is it safe to use the stairs to escape or do we need to think about adding a rescue elevator in case of an emergency?
