EM – The “first association” between the Vietnam Elevator Association – Schools and Enterprises in training elevator consultants and technicians has been a great success. People are still the most important factor that needs to be prioritized.
On the evening of May 27, GamaLift and Gama Service held a ceremony to summarize the training program of Elevator Technicians and Consultants. Training program organized by GamaLift and Gama Service for consultants and technicians with training participation from Vietnam Institute of Lift Engineering Application and Hanoi Vocational College of High Technology.
At the closing ceremony, the outstanding teacher, Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh – Chairman of the Council of Hanoi Vocational College of High Technology, shared that this is the first training program with the cooperation between 3 parties: Enterprises – Schools – Associations. Pham Xuan Khanh also said that this will be the first step for the cooperation in training human resources in the elevator industry to develop strongly in the future, building an ecosystem together.
Pham Xuan Khanh said that this will be a premise for long-term cooperation, building a sustainable ecosystem for the elevator industry.
“People are the “key” of all problems. We can import high-quality products, but consulting whether to bring the right solution for customers, installation and operation to ensure labor safety, user safety or not, always depend on human”– Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh affirmed.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Duc – Chairman of the Vietnam Elevator Association also expressed his determination to improve the human resource capacity of the industry: The standardization of industry human resources is one of the major goals that the Association is aiming for. Especially in recent times when there are so many human losses, even elevator technicians are the first to die.” Mr. Duc affirmed that only standardizing human resources through training and output tests can ensure labor safety in this field.

In the training program, trainees will receive intensive training in consulting and elevator engineering with a system of modern practical facilities, helping students to approach the reality of “real people, practical work”, serving the training method Learning by doing, Training on job (Training in real work).

Trainees of Elevator Consultants are also fully equipped with sales skills and basic elevator technical knowledge to offer appropriate solutions to customers.
This is a project assigned by the Vietnam Elevator Association to the Vietnam Institute of Lift Engineering Application in collaboration with Gama Service (GamaLift’s service provider) and Hanoi Vocational College of High Technology.
This program will continue to be standardized and applied to the entire industry in the near future. The capacity building and standardization are first and foremost equipped with professional knowledge on elevator installation, maintenance and repair; Next, technicians are also trained in occupational safety.
The issue of human resource standardization will also continue to be discussed by the Vietnam Elevator Association at the Workshop “Improving the quality of human resources in the elevator industry” which will take place on July 13rd, 2022 in Hanoi with the participation of parties: state management agencies, elevator enterprises, enterprises managing and using elevators, vocational training schools, etc.
The seminar aimed at regulations and policies to standardize human resources as well as create connections in the elevator industry, towards building a sustainable development ecosystem.
