On the evening of November 19 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Elevator Association solemnly held the launching ceremony of the publication and website of Elevator Magazine. The program is sponsored by GamaLift and Gama Service. Attending the launching ceremony were Mr. Le Van Thanh – Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Mr. Ho Quang Loi – Standing Vice Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association, Mr. Nguyen Hai Duc – Chairman of Vietnam Elevator Association and representatives of many ministries, news agencies, press agencies of the central government and Hanoi.

Speaking at the Launching Ceremony of the Magazine, Mr. Nguyen Hai Duc, Chairman of the Vietnam Elevator Association shared, right after its establishment on September 8, 2020, the Vietnam Elevator Association has focused on developing a platform to train human resources, research and advise on the development of policies and activities in connection with international elevator associations. Specifically, the Association has established the Institute of Elevator Application Engineering, in collaboration with the General Department of Vocational Education, schools and academies, to develop and establish a system of training, assessment and improvement professional quality and ethics of the workforce, research and receive science and technology from abroad, develop supporting industries to aim at exporting Vietnamese elevators to the international market.
One of the primary tasks of the Association was set forth to establish the Association’s mouthpiece, the Elevator Magazine. After a period of careful preparation in terms of procedures, personnel, content and other tasks, on August 6, 2021, Elevator Magazine was granted an operating license by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Pursuant to license number 510/GP-BTTT, Elevator Magazine officially operated from August 6, 2021, is the media agency of Vietnam Elevator Association. The magazine has two editions, the print edition is published every 3 months in two languages: English and Vietnamese. In addition, the magazine also has an electronic version published on the website tapchithangmay.vn. The magazine will provide in-depth, specialized information; introducing and disseminating knowledge and experience of production, business, and advanced technology transfer at home and abroad.
“With the spirit of “building a professional, humane and modern media press”, Elevator Magazine is not only the mouthpiece of the Association, but definitely an independent press unit, ensuring objectivity of perspective, accuracy of information, useful to readers. From there, the Magazine becomes an extension of the Association, helping to accelerate the implementation of its missions. In order for Elevator Magazine to fulfill its roles and duties, I would like to thank the Boards, Ministries and sectors for their enthusiastic support. In the coming time, the Magazine wishes to continue to receive the enthusiastic support and assistance of the Department of Press – Publication – Central Propaganda Department, Press Department – Ministry of Information and Communications, Association Vietnamese journalists, along with the community of journalists, reporters and all of you. On behalf of the Vietnam Elevator Association and Elevator Magazine, I pledge to do my best to fulfill the mission entrusted by the community…”, said Mr. Nguyen Hai Duc.

Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh believes that Elevator Magazine will always show and affirm the role of the official media mouthpiece, ensuring objectivity in terms of perspective, accuracy of information, connect the elevator industry community not only in Vietnam but also reaching out to the world, is a useful information channel for consumers and a witness to the strong development of Vietnam’s elevator industry in New Age.
