The elevator’s safety has been discussed many time by the press agencies. However, this is the first time a professional social organization, the Vietnam Elevator Association, has actively methodically coordinated with the authorities. The synchronous participation between the authorities and representatives of the industry hopes to solve the long-standing safety concerns when using the elevator of the people living in the apartment building.
The meeting between the Department of Occupational Safety and the Vietnam Elevator Association will take place at 9am on December 3 at the headquarters of the Vietnam Elevator Association (Tay Ho, Hanoi). Elevator Magazine will continue to report on the results of the meeting.

The meeting between the Department of Occupational Safety, the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Vietnam Elevator Association, Elevator Magazine in the spirit of cooperation between state management agencies and professional social organizations. The Association provided the Department with several pictures and related documents at the meeting. At the same time, let’s discuss some contents about the responsibilities of agencies and units that manage assets, elevators in Den Lu Resettlement Area in particular, and management of apartment buildings in general…; occupational safety technical inspection unit; responsibility of the management board, etc., to find solutions to ensure the safety of people in the process of using and operating the elevator.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien, General Secretary of the Vietnam Elevator Association, commented: The coordination in providing the above information and documents with the desired purpose of the Department of Occupational Safety, the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs is both a state management agency, a specialized inspector of occupational safety, offering solutions to ensure the safety of residents in Den Lu Resettlement Area, and at the same time building, participating in advising the state management agencies on the safety management in the use and operation of elevators in resettlement areas in particular and apartment buildings in general.
On the Department of Occupational Safety and Health side, the working group directly has also commented and responded quickly to the Association’s proposals; the Department will proceed with the settlement according to the correct process. On the other hand, the Department of Occupational Safety will coordinate with the Association to find solutions to prevent elevator accidents, ensuring people’s safety.
These are positive signals. People are no longer alone, soon getting rid of anxiety and going home.
