The Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) joining The Pacific Asia Lift and Escalator Association (PALEA) marks a strategic step, opening significant opportunities for the Vietnamese elevator industry.
On October 17, 2024, in Hong Kong, the Vietnam Elevator Association officially became a member of PALEA during the annual conference organized by the Pacific Asia Lift and Escalator Association.
Mr. Ha Tat Thang, the Director of the Labor Safety Department at the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, attended the conference. The presence of representatives from government agencies underscores Vietnam’s commitment to supporting the development of the elevator industry.
VNEA’s official membership in PALEA represents a significant milestone for the Vietnamese elevator industry. This event not only strengthens the industry’s global standing but also provides Vietnamese businesses with access to modern technology, improves their competitive capacity, and integrates more deeply into the global value chain.
Mr. Graham Worthington, Chairman of the Pacific Asia Lift and Escalator Association, presents the Membership Certificate to Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Chairman of the Vietnam Elevator Association.
As a member of PALEA, VNEA will play a crucial role as a bridge between regulatory authorities and Vietnamese enterprises with international partners. The association will actively participate in PALEA’s activities, contributing to the establishment of global elevator industry standards, aiming for “barrier-free trade,” and promoting sustainable development while unlocking green growth for the elevator sector.
This is also an opportunity for VNEA to present its perspectives and actively suggest measures to improve corporate social responsibility. This includes discussions on exchanging information, sharing experiences, technical training, consulting, and addressing trade issues related to multilateral environmental agreements.
VNEA has officially become one of 27 international associations under PALEA
Since its inception, VNEA and PALEA have collaboratively executed various initiatives that have improved the status of Vietnam’s elevator industry.
Specifically, these initiatives include hosting the first PALEA/VNEA International Elevator Information Seminar in Vietnam, organizing several large-scale industry seminars, collaborating on trade promotion activities and co-hosting the Vietnam Elevator Expo, an international exhibition.
VNEA has officially made its mark on the regional and global elevator industry map.
